Great Ceilidh night

The Centre @ Halton again held a very successful Ceilidh evening with the ever popular Striding Edge band on Saturday October 22nd. It was a sell-out event with over 100 attending and everyone had a great time with a very good evening of live music and dancing.

There were four full hours of entertainment, with all ages learning how to dance many traditional steps such as ‘dosey doe’ and ‘strip the willow’ – not always very co-ordinated but great fun and exercise. The Jacob’s Join buffet was excellent too and also much appreciated by everyone.

As band drummer Ben McCabe said after the night :

“Marvellous! T’was lots of fun “

Proceeds from this show were over £500 and these will contribute to the cost of ongoing refurbishments at The Centre @ Halton. Congratulations to Maureen Richardson and Eileen Prince-Jibson as the main organisers.
