Because of the success of our fund raising campaigns, the original Centre has gradually been upgraded with as many new facilities as possible over the last few years. The refurbished building was completed in January 2010 and the much improved outside facilities have been very well used since May 2011.
The location of The Centre near to J34 on the M6, and easily reached from Lancaster, Morecambe, Carnforth, the Lune Valley and south Cumbria also makes it an ideal venue for meetings, birthdays, weddings and conferences.

An audio loop system was installed in the meeting rooms and Coffee Shop in February 2017.

The building is as environmentally friendly and as low a carbon footprint as possible containing the latest in solar panels, ground source heating, grey water recycling.

” We hired the main hall at The Centre for a family party of about 100 guests in August 2013 and had a fantastic time! The help we had from Maureen and Carol in showing us around and giving up their time helping us work out how best to set up the tables and chairs etc was really generous – and invaluable.
On the night of the party the event ran seamlessly – we hired a projector and screen for a running slide show and had a great DJ and buffet food. The Centre was an excellent venue – clean, light and airy – with much appreciated air-con as the night wore on! It was a blank canvas on to which we could add our own decorations but we also made much use of the kitchen, hired table cloths, comfy chairs etc.
