Future development of the Centre
The Centre has been working with a student project team from Lancaster University Management School and on April 29th the group of six gave a very interesting presentation of their findings and recommendations.
The findings were based on questionnaires, interviews and focus group discussions and thank you very much to local residents who have responded to their questions and contributed to the research.
They have made very interesting and worthwhile proposals for the Centre to improve its marketing and PR, reconsider management structures, have a strategy for recruiting volunteers, develop Coffee Central even further and review the range of activities on offer, including for more elderly residents. There is plenty for the HCA Committee to consider and implement over the next few years.
The initial contact in the Centre was Marketing and PR representative Susan Lucas, and Brian Jefferson , who played a key role in shaping the project, expressed the thanks of the Centre and the HCA Committee to the group, led by Dani Croucher. He welcomed the very wide ranging report, the many useful recommendations and its ‘blue skies’ thinking
