Interested in gardening?
Would you like to know more about plants and how to grow them, discuss gardens you have visited, share your knowledge, skills, expertise and surplus plants? Would you like to join a group that is interesting and informative.
Then Halton Gardening Group is for you. We normally meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in the Centre at about 10am. Please contact Ann or Monica (details below) so that we can fill you in on what is happening.
Recently members have been busy in the village (as well as their gardens and allotments) to make the public areas more attractive and tidier. Work continues around The Centre @Halton and improvements have been made to the top of the Link path. The Burial Ground, the War Memorial, the Jubilee Garden and Top Shop tubs have also been much improved.
We would very much like to have more members in the group, to help share this work and extend the tended areas around the Parish, whilst gaining significant gardening know-how. You DO NOT need any gardening knowledge, just a willingness to join in and have fun.
Everyone is welcome to join.
Also a special Garden Safari is being planned for the weekend of 5th and 6th July 2014. We welcome all types of garden for viewing whether it be a small backyard, a strip of land, allotment, traditional cottage garden or just hanging baskets. If anyone is interested in opening their garden please come to the Gardening Group where you will find out more.
