Exciting theatre and music performance
After the success of world musician Doudou Cissoko last year, The Centre is again collaborating with Spot on Lancashire to offer innovative events to local people in rural communities.
The first of these events is a presentation by Rasa Theatre of “States of Verbal Undress” on Saturday 10th May at 7pm. There will also be a Guitar Ensemble performing classical and Spanish guitar music.
This is a performance by two actors taking the part of several people relating their experiences of moving to a new country or community and how people reinvent their identity but when caught off guard how their invented identity slips creating interesting resonances and the complexity of what makes a nation. It is both funny and moving and is suitable for 12 years old upwards.
After the show there will be a Question and Answer session with the actors.
