AGM held on 29th October
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Halton Community Association, which manages The Centre @ Halton, was held on Wednesday October 29th at The Centre.
A number of local residents including from Lancaster Co-housing, as well as user groups and Directors, attended this meeting which was chaired by HCA Chairman Brian Jefferson, CBE. There was a detailed report on the Association’s finances by Treasurer Alan Meikle, reports from a number of active User Groups – which are so vital to The Centre – and a report from the Chairman.
The reporting year was up to 31 March 2014 and the Chairman commented on the success of that 12 month period, with an increase in usage of The Centre generally and especially the Coffee Shop, which was very important for income generation. There continued to be investment in the fabric of the building with improvements being made regularly, and an increasingly wide range of activities and events. The Chairman thanked the Directors and all volunteers whose input was so crucial, and there was special thanks for the fantastic contribution from Centre Manager Maureen Richardson, BEM.

Informal refreshments after the meeting were enjoyed by all those who attended.
