New programme for Over 55s Luncheon Club
The programme for the Luncheon Club for the over 55s for the Spring and Summer has now been published:
April 22nd – Bob the Sax – ” The history of the saxophone” – with Bob Pickersgill
May 13th – DAFT – I CALL IT! – Life on the road with Mr ‘Ardin’ (aka ‘The Boss’) – Mike Harding – talk by Steve Swithin
May 27th – Anne Oliver (Charter for older people AGE UK) and Joanne Knowles (Home Start) will update Club members on recent developments
June 10th – Evelyn Archer is welcomed back to give her second talk about Morecambe and the Winter Gardens. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A SPECIAL QUEEN’S 90TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION WITH SANDWICHES AND CAKES. THERE IS A LIMIT ON NUMBERS SO BOOKING IN ADVANCE IS ESSENTIAL, even for regular attenders.
June 24th – Gill Allen and friends will talk about ‘Music and Monologues@
July 8th – Alan Coles will entertain the Club with his ‘Unusual Life Story’
July 22nd – Brian Hetherington’s topic is ‘Wood to Like’ – Wood Turning and Pen Making demonstration
There are no Luncheon Clubs in August because of summer holidays.
