Programme for autumn over 55s Luncheon Club launched
The Centre is pleased to announce its great programme of talks for the autumn and winter Luncheon Club for the over 55s and we are sure that they will be of interest to local residents.
As usual the Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month from 10am with a delicious hot meal and a talk or activity for only £4. Booking in advance with Maureen on tel: 01524 811316 is recommended.
The Luncheon Club re-starts on Friday September 9th:
September 9th – A Burmese Adventure – a slide show and talk including about the first elections in Burma – by Kath Byrne
September 23rd – NEW TOPIC – Lancashire Fire and Rescue – how to reduce the risk of fire in the home and how to stay warm in the winter.
October 14th – Halton Mill – from engineering factory to co-working space – an interesting insight into this important local development with Fiona Frank
October 28th – Steady On! Falls prevention. Reduce the risk of falling and help people independent, safe and steady on their feet – a useful and worthwhile talk by Linda Hilton
November 11th – An unusual life story. Alan Coles talks his varied careers and his family.
November 25th – Wood turning demonstration with the opportunity to purchase the items prepared. With popular Malcolm Smith
December 9th – Special Christmas lunch. Full details to follow.
