Summer weekend of fun and activity
There will be a major event in Halton over the weekend of 3rd and 4th June. The main focus will be a garden safari where a number of local residents will open their gardens to visitors, but there will be lots more to do and see.
Plants will be sold within gardens with the money going to our Community Planting Projects. Where other charities are raising money this will be clearly indicated. This year some gardens will welcome dogs.
Some Co-Housing gardens and planting will open on the Sunday as will the Halton Mill, complete with a small café.
On Saturday June 3rd, The Centre @ Halton will have up to 20 craft and community organisation stalls from 1pm to 4 pm. All village organisations are warmly invited to take up the offer for free. Commercial stalls will cost £10, and there are only a very small number left to book. There will be free public entrance.
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or phone Maureen on 01524 811316 to book a stall. The Coffee Shop will be open as normal on both days.
Also on the Saturday, the United Reformed Church will open for its monthly Coffee Morning 10am to12pm and will remain open all afternoon until 4 pm serving a snack lunch, cakes, tea and coffee. This could also be a toilet stop.
On Sunday June 4th Halton Mill, the co-working and event space on Mill Lane will be open from 11 am to 4 pm with a craft fair and art exhibition, selling teas and barista coffees, lunch and freshly made cakes
In addition St Wifrid’s Church will be open from 12 noon till 4 pm with Tower Tours available. The last tour will be at 3.30 pm. Teas will also be available from the nearby Red Door Café.
Other groups and organisations are encouraged to organise their own activities to make this a wonderful village weekend.
