Halton Garden Safari and Open Village nearly here
The Halton Garden Safari and Open Village is nearly here – over the weekend of June 3rd and June 4th. They promise to be great days for Halton – and everyone in the surrounding area. The focal point will be a great Garden Safari, but there will be lots more to do and see on the Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
Apart from the 15 different gardens to see, the main venues for events, refreshments and entertainment will be The Centre @ Halton, Halton Mill, St Wilfrid’s Church, Red Door Cafe, United Reformed Church and Greyhound pub.
Any money raised for tickets sold to visit the gardens in the Garden Safari and any plants sold within the gardens will contribute to Halton Community Planting Projects. Only £3.50 gives access to all the gardens. The tickets are valid over the whole weekend from 11am to 4 pm. This year some gardens will welcome dogs.
Yellow signs and yellow balloons will show which gardens are open, and there will also be a detailed Halton village map showing all the many refreshment options. There will be a short village quiz for the children to do as they walk around the village.
Tickets will be on sale in advance at The Centre @ Halton and in Halton Newsagents in the High Road, or they can be bought on the day at any open garden and The Centre, which will be the main advisory centre throughout the weekend.
