Batwatch!
The next talk and walk with the Lancaster RSPB group is a Bat Evening on Wednesday 15 August – meet at The Centre at 7.15pm.
The Bat Evening starts with an illustrated talk about these interesting mammals by bat expert Gail Armstrong.
Followed by, weather permitting, a walk down to the river bank as dusk approaches – equipped with bat detectors experience the thrill of hearing the bats on the detector and then seeing the bats fly by.
Next month, Saturday, 8 September is a walk along the River Lune to the Crook O’Lune to see butterflies and other wildlife of early autumn
For this walk meet by the old railway station at 10.00 am and not at The Centre.
