New Year, New Hobby? Try out our Activity Groups
Did you make any New Year’s Resolutions? Is getting fitter and losing weight or toning up among them? There ‘s all sorts to choose from that could help you achieve your goals, suitable for a range of abilities – from Pilates to Zumba, Indoor Bowling, Fun & Flex to Sequence Dance and Square Dance. There’s Samba Espirito too, you may have seen them at last year’s Fun Day.
For the youngsters there’s Enjoy-a-Ball, Tae Kwan Do, Bronya Emily’s School of Dance and Halton Juniors FC.
Don’t forget Lune Valley Voices – they would love you to join them. The Board Games group which meets on Wednesday afternoons in term time also welcomes more players.
Why not take the opportunity to join Square Dance Beginners? The Square Dance club, Lune Valley Ocean Wavers, only takes on beginners every two years. If you missed the new intake last October and would like to learn Square Dancing, you can join Carol’s new practice group starting on Tuesday, 8th January. Walking Football, Circuits (indoors for now) and the Baby and Toddler Group all return w/c 7th January. Walking Netball will return on 16th January.
Ken’s Ballroom and Sequence Dance will be back once a month, starting on 19th January.
The next programme of talks for Luncheon Club begins on 11th January, with entertainment from the Black Sheep Ukulele Band with Geoff Wood. Sing along to familiar old songs. Reading Group invites new members to join them. Their first meeting this year is on 14th January. Simply ask for the next month’s book from Halton Library. The group meet here on the 2nd Monday of each month, 10am to 11am,
