Dial-A-Bus needs more participants
DIAL-A-BUS SERVICE FOR HALTON HAS PLACES AVAILABLE
The Dial-a-Bus service, for people with transport and mobility needs, has several places available and needs to fill them in order for the service to continue.
This valuable service will pick people up from their homes between 10.30 and 10.50 am on Mondays, take them to Asda for 1½ hours to do their shop and maybe have a sit down in the Cafe. The driver will then help people, with their shopping, back onto the bus and return to Halton at 1pm.
The cost of this service is £4 for the return journey. Please note passengers can only fetch three supermarket bags of goods – no large articles like a TV or grow-bags for the garden.
It is hoped that people will use the service weekly but if you would like to use it fortnightly please still make an enquiry as you may be able to share the service with someone else.
The service can take up to 12 passengers including 2 with wheelchairs.
If you are interested, or know of anyone who may be, please contact James Glen at Integrated Transport Services at Lancashire County Council to book a place.
