Coffee Shop

WELCOME TO OUR COFFEE SHOP

Coffee Shop is currently closed.

We will re-open once government guidelines allow us to do so.

If we are able to open we will state the open times here in due course.

Note that the information below may not be applicable.

The main entrance of the Centre is closed, access to the Coffee Shop is as follows:

Entrance via the side door on the decking.
Exit via a new door to the rear of the building.

Please wear a mask or face covering when entering the Centre unless exempt due to disabilities or child under 11.

We need lots of new volunteers to make the coffee shop viable because the majority of our regular volunteers fall into the vulnerable category so they cannot attend at this time.  We are also able to offer shifts to Duke of  Edinburgh volunteers.

We have added a hatch so that staff and volunteers can use the main preparation area and additional kitchen space separately.

Please contact us for more information, email coffeeshop@haltoncentre.org or call the Centre on 811316. Centre staff will always be present while Coffee Shop is open.

Max Card  and Visit Card discounts:

If you have a MAX card bring it for a discount of 20p off hot drinks and 10p off cold drinks. The MAX card is for foster families and families of children with additional needs. Apply https://mymaxcard.co.uk/

Additionally if you have a Lancaster Visit card we give you 20p off hot drinks. Get a Visit card from the Lancaster and Morecambe Tourist Info Centres.

On the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month is a special Memory Cafe from 11am to 12.30pm when the Coffee Shop  will also be open. See www.haltoncentre.org/2015/04/launch-of-memory-cafe/

Since we launched the Coffee Shop in 2011 we have gone from strength to strength with a small number of willing volunteers,  student help in the holidays and two weekend paid staff.

Read what some of our volunteers have to say. People volunteer at the Coffee Shop for a number of reasons

Helpers all enjoy volunteering and meeting really nice customers who come along and enjoy our picnic areas whilst watching their children play on the well equipped outdoor play areas, including from our decking area adjacent to the Coffee Shop.

The menu is being extended all the time and there are frequent compliments on the quality of the range. You can purchase anything from 10p biscuits and 20p lollipops to a wide range of coffees and home made cakes. In addition to our paninis, we’ve introduced a range of sandwiches, made to order, and popular snacks.

The Coffee Shop is recognised as a bike friendly venue by Cycling UK and also see www.haltoncentre.org/2015/08/centre-welcomes-cyclists/

Contact the Centre for enquiries about the Coffee Shop info@haltoncentre.org or call 01524 811316.
