A Plant Sale is being organised by Halton Gardening Group, on Saturday 18 May, from 10am to 12 noon.
Do come along and meet the Halton Gardening Group. We hope you will find that the Plant Sale is a good way to stock up your garden, flower beds, vegetable beds, greenhouses, hanging baskets, tubs etc, and an opportunity to talk to the gardeners too, get some advice and tips. There will be plant stalls, raffle and a cake stall. Donations of plants, cakes and raffle prizes are very welcome. Entry adults £1, children free.
The Gardening Group will have a number of stalls and we also welcome other plant related stalls. Tables can be booked to sell plants and garden items, also produce like chutneys, jams and honey. Tables will cost £10 per table.
To book a table please contact me, Janet Theobald, email firstname.lastname@example.org and I will let you know how to go about paying for the table.
The money raised by the Halton Gardening Group will go towards planting around the village, replenishing the planters, plants at the memorial garden and burial ground, by the ginnel, and new planters to continue to beautify the village.
Currently the group look after the raised bed at the top of the ginnel, and lower down the ginnel by the entrance to Lythe Fell Avenue, top shops planters, bus stop planters on High Road and Low Road, the slope outside the Centre and the planters at the front, and on Low Road by the Halton sign, as well as the the memorial garden, burial ground
Members of the group are amateurs with a varied range of knowledge and experience. New members are always welcome. Meetings are usually on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Centre Coffee Shop starting at 9.30m.
